This concrete inground pool at Cleveland was 16 years old and was in desperate need of a pool renovation. The new owners contacted Just Add Water Pools after purchasing the house and wanted to give their pool a facelift. The first step in resurfacing a concrete pool is to drain the pool and assess the damage.
Pool resurfacing involves preparing the existing pool for a new surface coat by hydro blasting, sandblasting then bond coating, or chipping away the old surface.
Next, a polished finish is applied, or a finished coat made of glass beads, glass, exposed pebble, quartz, a polished finish, or plaster is added.
The owner of this Cleveland pool was very happy with the result. The total resurfacing process from start to finish was 6 days. For this resurfacing project, we also replaced the old sand filtration solution with a Davey Easy Clear Series cartridge filter.
The Davey Easy Clear Series cartridge filter was chosen as it comes with a 5 years warranty and is designed to save the owner on running cost. The Davey Easy Clear Series Cartridge filter can save owners over 4,000 litres of water per year over sand filters.
