Simply put in the pools size in litres and select the items that are required and you will receive an instant estimate. Depending on the pools age a full or partial renovation may be required. The scope can involve resurfacing of the interior only or complete removal of all cosmetic items and even addition of new steps/spas or surrounds.
As a minimum the following should be considered
Are there any major structural issues/rust or cracking present and if so, are these likely to be able to be successfully repaired. In some cases, we will build a completely new pool in place of the existing pool as this will be the most economical long term solution. If undertaking a renovation a life expectancy of between 10-30 years should be achieved so if the structure will likely not survive this period it is time to demolish and start again.
Are there any leaks or damages to skimmer boxes, return or suction lines. These items if presenting an issue can be pressure tested and fault checked to ensure there will not be ongoing issues. If surrounding areas are being renovated it is always wise to replace any accessible pipe work.
What condition are the tiles in and is there any noticeable cracking or delamination noticeable. If the coping tiles are not being replaced consideration should be placed on the likely lifespan of the coping. The new interior will have a life expectancy of 10-20 years so if the existing coping is not going to last this period it is advisable to seriously consider replacement as replacing coping whilst trying to salvage an existing interior is not advisable.
Is the surface degraded, lifting, cracking or leaking. If so, it is time to resurface the pool. Pools that predate the 1990s will require sampling of the interior surface for traces of asbestos as the old marblesheen interiors can contain asbestos. This will affect overall cost if asbestos is present.
Is the pool accessible and usable for your stage of life, if not we can add stairs, handrails, benches, spas and other accessories to make the pool more user friendly.
Is the pool currently up to modern standards for fencing and safety, if not it will require the fencing and any other safety related items to be addressed.
The addition of modern LED pool lights can totally transform a backyards atmosphere at night. If replacing coping and surrounds this is generally a quiet simple undertaking.
Is the filtration suitable for the pool and have you investigated the alternatives available. There are many ways to treat pool water using chlorine, salt, minerals, ozone, copper and silver anodes or combinations of these. When renovating it is the perfect time to convert your pool to a new alternative. Modern energy saving pumps can also be considered along with robotic pool cleaners to make looking after the pool very trouble free.
